Books to begin with.

From a beginner's stand point reading books is just another way to fall asleep. Here "books" used in the context of non academic books. These can be self-help books, fictions, biographies, non-fiction and books of many other genres. I emphasized on the non academic part as I have observed that many of my friends who are really good at academics and would love to study academic books for hours , are not really interested in books I mentioned earlier. The main problem is here that every beginner should start with some basic books instead of reading books with heavy names as authors just for the sake of reading books. I was better yet i am a beginner too..but j enjoy reading. Though i started reading to increase my reading skills in competitive exams but right now i consider reading books an infotainment rather than an obligation. So which books to start with ? To answer that we have to classify beginners into three class
1. Rookie ( low grip on vocabulary and grammar)
2. Intermediate ( knows basic words and grammar )
3. Learner ( has a good vocabulary and knows grammar pretty well)

For the rookie kind they should start with story books like very basic ones . For example - The fault in our stars by John Greene. The hunger games series by Suzanne Collins. Or some autobiographies such as Playing it my way of Sachin Tendulkar.

For the intermediate kind the recommended books are The harry potter series by J.K.Rowling, Atomic habits by James Clear and Rich dad poor dad by Robert kiyosaki and Sharon Letcher.

The Learner kind who are well versed with grammar, sentence formation and have a good grip on words should go with insightful books such as The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho , the diary of a young girl by Anne frank.
So just pick a book in accordance to your level of understanding and develop a great habit. :).
